
Marlene M. Bryant, CPA is a contract Accountant and Consultant of the firm of Cota CPA, PC and president/director/shareholder of her own firm Marlene M. Bryant, CPA, PC. Her firm's primary goal is to help clients succeed in business by offering innovative ideas and frequent personal attention. The firm strives to offer the information necessary for the client to make sound and timely financial decisions. The firm provides a wide range of services including consulting services, financial statement reviews, compilations, forecasts, accounting systems design, internal control studies, bookkeeping services, tax preparation and special projects.Marlene was born in Alburg, Vermont and graduated from Mississquoi Valley Union High School in Swanton, Vermont. She entered the accounting program at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, graduating Summa Cum Laude and as outstanding senior in 1975. She worked for two years in private accounting and then obtained a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
Marlene began her public accounting career in the audit department of P.F.Jurgs, (now KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP) in Burlington, Vermont. She became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1982. She has been involved in many of the audits of the firm's larger clients, including manufacturing concerns, non-profits and governments.
Marlene is a member of the American Institute and State of Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. Marlene currently serves on the Grand Isle Court Diversion Board. Marlene served as Treasurer for Champlain Industries, Vermont Special Olympics, Inc., and as a Volunteer for Adult Basic Education, American Red Cross and the Vermont Respite House.
Marlene currently resides in Jericho, Vermont.
